The Bonneville Salt Flat is a densely-packed salt pan, located in Tooele County, Utah. This day the linear, white emptiness contrasted well with the rounded clouds floating above. Serving as a reminder of the Pleistocene Lake it once was, it's now deemed one of the largest salt flats west of Great Salt Lake. Now the property is deemed public land and is known for its land speed records by car, truck and motorcycle. Neglecting the dates of three land speed events per year, visitors can drive across the flats at no charge anytime.
